Merge Duplicate Records without Auto DeDuplication
If you do not want to run the DeDuplication Tool in Zoho CRM we can still use the merge feature that Zoho provides inside the DeDuplication without the auto finding of feature of the tool.
The DeDuplication Tool in Zoho CRM automatically finds and merges duplicate records within the CRM, however if you do not trust the tool or just prefer a more manual approach to merging duplicate records there is another way. Using the Find and Merge Duplicates Tool we can use the merge functionality provided in the DeDuplication Tool to manually merge records.
Zoho CRM
Open the Company or Contact Record select the more options button and then choose find and merge duplicates.
Search your contacts for criteria.
- Match ALL of the following - Any record found must contain all of the criteria you input in the fields.
- Match ANY of the following- Any record found only needs to contain one of the criteria you input in the fields.
Select the Records you wish to merge together.
Build the Master Record by selecting the radio buttons in Record 1 or 2 to choose that data for that field. When you have finished click the Merge button.
A warning will popup mentioning that this cannot be undone. Select I understand, Merge Now.
Both records have now been merged into the one record, you will notice that the amount of items in the related list has increased by merging the items from both records.
